Hi! My name is Emily Warren.

​

 

I am originally from North Carolina, not too far from Wilmington. Academics, family, college tennis, and history

brought me to the Port City in 2010. I attended college at UNC Wilmington where I received my Bachelor of Arts in History.

 

After completing my undergraduate degree, I decided to continue my academic career as a Seahawk earning a Master of Arts in history. During the program I taught and administered grades for college classes, took graduate courses on an array of history topics, and spent countless hours in the archives writing my thesis.

 

My love for learning history and deep immersion in academia ultimately led to my passion for teaching. This cemented my decision to enroll in the MAT program at the Watson College of Education. I received a second Masters in teaching with a social studies concentration, including an internship in New Hanover County Schools. Over the past few years I have had the pleasure to teach at Ashley High School and I am so happy to have you in my class this semester! I look forward to continuing my journey with each of you.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, seeing my friends and family, listening to music, traveling, and spending time in nature.
